The PSCI is a proud partner to Energize, a first-of-its-kind collaboration of 19 pharmaceutical companies focused on increasing the adoption of renewable electricity in the pharmaceutical supply chain. The program is designed to help pharma and healthcare suppliers learn about renewable electricity purchasing, explore the market, and engage in renewable energy procurement.

In the last 18 months, 472 leading suppliers have registered for the program, representing over 33 terawatt-hours of electricity demand. The program has already formed its first Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) buyers’ cohort to purchase renewable electricity collectively. The PPA buyers’ cohort includes 9 companies and intends to go to market together, resulting in a potential aggregate of 2 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity demand in Europe and North America.

What will you learn in this education series?
The goal of this education series is to equip you and your team with a foundational understanding of the benefits and process of transitioning to renewable electricity as well as key considerations associated with methods for purchasing including:
• Onsite Solar
• Power Purchase Agreements
• Energy Attribute Certificates

We advise a core team from your company, including a sustainability lead and/or procurement lead to attend this education series.

What are the benefits to attending?
To learn more about renewable energy and the options available to you to help meet you own decarbonization goals and those of your customers. Energize creates the unique opportunity for value chain partners to aggregate their electricity demand and gain access to renewable electricity purchasing option you otherwise wouldn’t have.

When does the series take place?
The series is offered from September to December in two different time slots to accommodate multiple time zones.
