Lucy Latham
With over a decade of experience in the life sciences sector, Lucy Latham combines passion with pragmatism to drive sustainable transformation in global procurement. She currently serves as Global Head of Procurement ESG at Sandoz, where she leads a global team of managers and senior managers. Lucy works cross-functionally within Sandoz and with external partners to develop and execute the company’s procurement ESG strategy.
Her team’s remit includes defining ESG targets across carbon, waste, and water; assessing sustainability performance; integrating ESG into procurement processes; providing data and creating insightful dashboards for decision making; monitoring ESG regulatory developments; and administering third-party risk management parameters. Lucy also supports Sandoz’s global renewable electricity goals through the negotiation of power purchase agreements (PPAs), sponsors the Energize programme to help suppliers advance their own decarbonisation journeys, and partners directly with suppliers via the Joint Business Development Programme to deliver tangible carbon reductions through innovative packaging and logistics solutions. Most recently, she has represented Sandoz in the Healthcare Buyers Community, helping shape market sustainability requirements for biosimilars and generics across Europe and the Nordics.
Previously, Lucy was Senior Global Sustainability Manager for Procurement Insights & Enablement at Roche, where she led initiatives on technology, data, emerging regulations (including CSRD), and financing the net zero transition and lead the sustainability section of the 2025 Annual Report. Her achievements include leading Roche’s first Scope 3 quantification and supplier engagement programme, co-leading the SBTi programme, and contributing to the SMI whitepaper on decarbonizing healthcare supply chains. Lucy was shortlisted for Global Sustainability Leader at the World Sustainability Leader Awards in 2021.
Allyship and partnership with industry peers are crucial to accelerating our shared goals for sustainable supply chains. In my co-leadership of the PSCI decarbonisation team, as well as contributions to human rights and environmental committees, I’ve seen firsthand the powerful impact of collective action. Collaboration not only advances our common objectives but also strengthens suppliers and their supply chains.
I firmly believe that establishing effective, operational, and enduring sustainable practices requires capability building and process streamlining across the entire industry. As a dedicated advocate for PSCI, I see the organisation as having the right vision, membership, and commitment to drive progress. With recent changes in PSCI's operations, this is the perfect time for me to step into a more impactful role, helping turn our shared aspirations into actionable outcomes.
