An invitation to shape the PSCI Principles - External

The PSCI Principles for Responsible Supply Chain Management are our blueprint for responsible practice across the pharmaceutical and healthcare supply chain – and we are now inviting external stakeholders to provide input to our latest round of updates.

About the Principles

  • First agreed by PSCI’s founding members in 2006
  • Updated in 2019 and 2022
  • All PSCI members commit to upholding the Principles, and they are widely referenced in supplier codes and public reporting

The Principles sit above individual supplier codes, setting high‑level expectations and encouraging members and suppliers to consider and respond to these topics within their own practices. They are designed to:

  • Encourage continuous improvement across supply chains
  • Remain relevant across a three‑year review cycle
  • Be applicable across our diverse, global membership

With this in mind, our challenge is finding the right level of stretch: continuing to drive progress toward PSCI’s vision of responsible supply chains, while ensuring the Principles remain achievable and universal.

We are now inviting external stakeholders to contribute to this update through our consultation survey

To maintain a substantial amount of consistency in the Principles, we ask that suggestions focus on up to one significant and up to three minor changes.
Further details on the process and timeline can be found here

The deadline for feedback is 8 April, and the final updated Principles will be published in December 2026.

We look forward to hearing your perspectives and shaping the next evolution of the PSCI Principles together.
