Webinar - Responsible sourcing of raw materials used in the pharmaceutical industry

Webinar | 10 Dec 2020 09:00–10:00 Eastern Time (US & Canada)

This webinar will be a deep dive into the ongoing responsible sourcing project led by the PSCI Human Rights & Labor and Environment Sub-Teams. The project looks into the potential human rights and environmental impacts associated with the sourcing of 14 raw materials used in the pharmaceutical industry, with the view to better engage suppliers on those issues.

The webinar is primarily for members working in excipients, packaging, and packaging components departments and will run as follows:

  • Overview of project methodology (e.g. country- and material-level impacts, existing impact mitigation initiatives)
  • Case study of one material
  • What to do next: how members can use the material guides to best engage their supply chain and mitigate potential impacts

We're delighted to be joined by the following speakers:

  • Neil Everett, Senior Partner, Carnstone
  • Stephanie Warrick, Associate Director, Global Sustainability, AstraZeneca
  • Zelia Kranich, Sustainable Sourcing Associate Director, Merck (known as MSD outside the U.S. and Canada)
  • Marie Pillon, Junior Partner, Carnstone

The webinar recording and slides are available for members here.
